In Parliament

The Group provides a range of briefings, suggested parliamentary questions and EDMs for members to utilise. It also monitors developments in parliament relating to macroeconomic issues and international development. The Group also attends important hearings and Committee events to keep abreast of developments inside and outside of Parliament. In the past month, the APPG was able to send representatives to put questions to the Canadian Finance Minister, Rt. Hon Ralph Goodale MP and to Mary Robinson as the Global Head of Oxfam, as well as attending Select Committee hearings of Rt. Hon Gordon Brown and Rt. Hon Hilary Benn MP.
